History
1964-2002
History of handball started in the region as of 1964 when in Brest Pedagogical Institute the team was founded. It was headed by Anatoly Meshkov.
2002-2003
Meshkov club started in national tournaments as of 2002. At those times the championship had one leader - SKA Minsk. 11-th championship of Belarus has become the most competitive one due to the Meshkov club. Only in the last game of the final play-off Meshkov club lost to Arkatron Minsk. Although Arkatron won also Belarus cup everybody could say - new rival has appeared in Brest.
2003-2004
The club wins gold medals for the first time! Moreover, Meshkov club wins Belarus cup. The season is also notable because the club started in the EHF Cup.
2004-2005
Meshkov club also wins gold medals and the cup. 25 victories in 25 games! Important era is the start in the Champions League.
2005-2006
Gold medals for the third time in the history. Group stage of the Champions League. The season was notable also due to the opening of the Victoria Palace of Sports.
2006-2007
Meshkov club is the champion again! 28 victories in 28 games! The club started its performance in the Champions League - first time for Brest city.
2007-2008
Meshkov club becomes champion and cup winner fourth time in its history. The club also played in the group stage of the Champions League.
2008-2009
Meshkov club wins Belgazprombank cup but got only silber medals. Though the club won Belarus cup. The club did not manage to qualify into Champions League and played in EHF cup until defeat in 1/16.
2009-2010
Meshkov Club wins second position in the championship and cup although the battles against Dynamo become reall great sport event in the country. Unfortunately the season was not successful in the Cup Winners Cup - the team lost in the first round already.
2010-2011
The team started with Gintaras Savukinas as a head coach. The club wins the Belarus Cup Final 4 and silver medals of the national championship.
2011-2012
Meshkov Handball Club celebrated 10 years of its foundation. Unfortunately the team did not win the championship and the cup. However, the club managed to get to the quarterfinals of the Cup Winners Cup.
2012-2013
Meshkov Handball Club gets bronze medals. Also the club did not win the Belarus Cup. The club joined supranational SEHA-league and won in its regular championship but got only 4th place in Final 4. In EHF Cup the team managed to qualify into third round.
2013-2014
Meshkov Handball Club becomes the champion of the country again for the six time. Besides, the club also wins the Belarus Cup in the 7th time. Also the team becomes vice-champion of SEHA-league, signs the contracts with Siarhei Shylovich, Dzianis Rutenka, Dmitry Nikulenkau and Maxim Babichev thus becoming basic club for the national team with 10 its players.
2014-2015
Double victory again in domestic tournaments: Champions and Cup Winners! Also good results in European leagues: Vice Champions of SEHA-league and struggle for the Champions League play offs until the last match day.
2015-2016
Champion of Belarus (8), Belarus Cup Winner (9), Champions League Last 16, SEHA-Gazprom League – Final 4
2016-2017
Champion of Belarus (9), Belarus Cup Winner (10), Champions League Last 16 (2), SEHA-Gazprom League – 3 place
Anatoly Meshkov
Anatole Meshkov was born in 1937 in Mogilev region. He graduated from Brest State Pedagogical Institute in 1961 and started his career in the Institute in 1963 as a tutor of Physical Culture Chair.
